Last week at the Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility Awards 2012, O2 won the Outstanding Achievement in CSR award for Think Big and their partnership with Headstrong.

The Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility recognise the work being carried out by Irish and multinational companies to improve the lives of their employees and to enhance the civic environment in which they operate. This is a unique competition that offers the business community a chance to promote their efforts in CSR and gain recognition for best practice. The awards are presented in a variety of categories covering all areas of CSR.

According to the judging panel, O2 was selected for the sustained excellence of their CSR programmes.

This is a great endorsement of Think Big and Headstrong, and O2 were delighted for Think Big to be given such recognition.

Think Big is a programme designed by O2 and Headstrong to enable young people to do projects in their community that make a difference to young peoples' mental health

Think Big is creating a large network of young people from across Ireland who are helping to change how Ireland thinks about young people and their mental health.  Since launching in September 2010, over 240 projects have supported by Think Big to promote positive mental health for young people between the ages of 14-25.
