Thank you to all our fundraisers
We really appreciate everyone who helps make our fundraising possible. Since our Summer Newsletter we have had fasts, outdoor campaign, wristbands for sale, running events even a skydive all aiming to raise money for Headstrong. We want to say Thank You.
Here are some highlights:
Dublin City Marathon
Congratulations to Claire Conroy, Ruth Maxwell and Nichola Cummiskey who all successfully ran in this year's Dublin City Marathon.
DCUSU & DCUfm
Headstrong has been chosen as DCUSU's charity of the year for 2012/2013. We were delighted to be part of their Mental Health Week which started on October 30th. To raise money for Headstrong, DCU students took part in a 28 hour outdoor camping fast outside DCU's Henry Grattan building. Student's Ciaran O'Connor and Colin Brennan led a 24 hour charity broadcast on DCUfm to make up 52 hour charity fundraising drive.
Be Happy Think Big Project
Ferdia, Alex, Mina, and Ronan present Tony Bates and their O2 Mentor Ger Ledger with a cheque for €1,710 on completion of their Think Big project. The project called Be Happy aimed to promote positive mental health in Dundalk through random acts of kindness and by selling colourful wrist bands with positive messages through their school and O2 stores.
